#25: Wayne’s World / French New Wave

Ladies and gentlemen, all the way from Paris, it’s episode 25! And, being in Le Republique, Tryggvi and Rune must explore a bit the cinema of this great country and they do so by checking out two of the greatest films of the French New Wave: Truffaut’s Jules et Jim and Rohmer’s Le Genou de Claire. #24: Wonder Woman / SKAM

#023: Heartstone

It’s episode 23 folks, and Tryggvi and Rune are back to their familiar one-on-one format. This time the boys celebrate Hollywood blockbuster season with reviewing tiny, but much lauded Icelandic coming-of-age (sic) film Heartstone. We also have a heated TV-debate with Girls, Master of None and Twin Peaks being involved. And, first time ever: Power napping in a movie theater!

#022: Nightcrawler / Festen

Episode 22 is out! This time we have some special guests as the boys from Cinematic Syndrome join Rune and Tryggvi for some across-the-pond chat about Nordic films versus American films. Episode 20: OLDBOY x2

The craftsman, the visionary, the genius: It’s episode twenty and we are still with Korean director Park Chan-wook. This time it’s his classic 2003 revenge opus Oldboy. For comparison we have Spike Lee’s American remake from 2013 and it’s all very interesting to say the least. Also we have some Icelandic horror, Danish crime and of course a white Russian in a hot-tub.
